Which 3-Axis Camera Gimbals Can You Use For a Panasonic GH5

Recently bought a Panasonic GH5 or GH5S and need a 3-axis camera gimbal stabilizer to get even smoother footage?

We look through all of the gimbal options available for GH5 and GH5s cameras.

Only here at ActionCameraFinder.com do we have complete and up-to date catalogues of camera gimbals as we continually add them to our camera gimbal database so you can find gimbals based on specific requirements you have.

Panasonic GH5 Size and Weight

For you to work out which camera gimbals work with the Panasonic GH5 and GH5S we need to know it's dimensions and weight so that we can look at the camera gimbals available in our database and see what will fit.

The features you need to be aware of are the payload of the gimbal and the dimensions that will fit on the camera gimbal.

What Is the Weight Of Your Panasonic GH5 and Lens Combination

The Panasonic GH5 weighs 725 g (Body with Battery and Memory Card).

This means you will have to look for camera gimbals which have payloads of much more than this so that you can also fit the lens of your choice.

Add the weight of your lens to the weight of the GH5 (725grams) so that you can work out the payload you are working with.

We have filtered to show gimbals below which can carry a payload of 1100grams or more, which means you will be limited to lenses that weigh a max of 375grams for this payload but can use much heavier lenses if you choose a gimbal with a larger payload.

What Are The Dimensions of Your GH5 and Lens

The dimensions are not as important as the payload, as you will find that the camera should work on a gimbal, as long as it comes under the payload weight limit. You may have issues with specific lenses and their length but that is a secondary issue and why we bring up the dimensions here, just incase you want to use a longer telephoto or all one one type lens when you're shooting.

The dimensions of the GH5 are 138.5 (width) x 98.1 (height) x 87.4 (length) mm.

The dimensions that most camera gimbals use to see which cameras will fit are the following:

The length of the camera and lens together, we have added a column which shows what max camera length (with lens) the gimbal will be able to fit.

For example, the Feiyu Tech G6 Max camera gimbal accepts and fits cameras that have a max length of 125mm, if you take the 87.4mm away from 125mm you are left with a size of 37mm.

If you own longer camera lenses than this for your Panasonic GH5 then you will need to look at different options in the table below.

The height of the camera, including the viewfinder.

And the width of the camera from the tripod mount underneath to the right side/edge of the camera. This measurement is used because you have to fit the camera to the gimbal mounting plate using a 1/4" tripod screw.

We would also like to point out that if you don't see a max length on the table below, this might be because the camera gimbal actually has no limit and you should be fine as long as you're under the payload weight limit with your camera and lens combination.
